Born and raised on the Isle of Skye, Scotland; Marty Robertson pursued a career in professional snowboarding for the better part of 20 years. Spending most of his action-packed career in front of the camera, he grew a passion and eye for photography. His appreciation for sports, balance, movement, fluidity and a professional luxury lifestyle, cultivated the idea of creating imagery behind the lens when he decided to retire from his professional snowboarding career.
Marty moved to Mammoth Lakes, California in 2012, where he started his under studies in photography training under two highly credited mentors, Oskar Bakke and Aaron Brimhall. Studying photography in automotive, lifestyle and fashion; Marty was surrounded by some of the most highly skilled and recognized photographers to date.
