I make content meant to inspire others to try their best every day to make their dreams possible. I always wanted to be a racing driver, but as the oldest of three, it wasn’t in the cards growing up. We don’t get to start where we hope to go, we have to start where we are. I tried to skip karting altogether, and go straight to cars from the simulators and driving for work. I finally checked my ego and starting racing where I could. Currently in my second season of open karting, I’ve gotten to go street racing and open wheel road racing over 60mph, raced at Daytona, and I’ve learned to manage the moment and the G-forces to trim my lap times to the point that I feel like an honest contender, applying what I’ve learned over thousands of hours of simulated and real-world driving and racing.

Who is your audience?

My YouTube channel, Closed Circuit Sports, has an audience majority of males under 35, but the other demos are represented as well. Some are parents of young and future racers, some are competitors of mine, and other gentleman drivers and weekend warriors who pursue their passions within the margins of “real life.” While many people are protective of their race film, the races I run are only justifiable for me if I am able to share the experience with those who can’t. I hope to inspire people to get into sim racing and karting, the way creators like Jimmy Broadbent, Super GT, James Baldwin, and Misha Charoudin inspired me to create from the starting point I had unique access to: the pro karting ladder, all around me, here in the Midwest. The skill gap has never been more seamless between cars and karts, but the sporting cultures are completely different. Street and road racing has always been my dream, but pro karts make it feasible for a young man with a regular full-time job to learn how to keep up with the best in the country, in a sport that has gone pro, mostly underground.

What brands have you worked with?

I have active affiliate partnerships with Gruns, Hume, Asetek SimSports, DistroKid, and am in the process of bringing on a kart brand, BlueShockRace, who I had the opportunity to compete for at Daytona Kartweek at the end of 2024. Currently partnered with several racing teams who have given me the right to sell advertising space on their cars. Name the type of car, and I have a team, and a guy who can drive it, even if it isn’t me. Many motorsports divisions have a much lower barrier of entry and less risk, cost-wise, than small businesses expect. Prestige leagues and teams run higher rates, and damage clauses, due to increased costs and expected visibility.
