My name is Ellie Hurer and I am a final year PhD student researching pancreatic cancer, university lecturer, a current BBC science presenter and former UK youth leader for NATO. I am going through treatment for salivary gland tumours and share my treatment/hospital journey while doing my PhD. Through my relatable, funny and informative (teaching protocols), I have become one of the largest PhD science influencers in the UK.
